About Us

Catch 21

Catch 21 is the Waterloo Region Record's Youth Advisory Board.  Made up of 1 student from each of the 21 public and separate schools in the region, the goal of Catch 21 is to connect youth with the newspaper through engaging projects and community initiatives.

In return for a year-long committment to the advisory board, each student receives 40 community service hours towards graduation.

the catch

the catch is in its first year of publication as Grand River Media's very own newspaper that is by teens, for teens.  It's all about high school life.  In print.

A 24-page full-colour tabloid format newspaper - each article is written by a student from a high school inWaterloo Region.  Distributed 5 times per year directly in high schools, the catch is a fantastic opportunity to connect students across the Region.
