So apparently, I have to go see a Gwar concert. Truth be told, I’m not exactly sure whether or not I should go see them. They are an American band that formed in 1985. Some of the songs I love by them include, “The Road Behind”, “I Hate Love Songs” and “Sick Of You”. The band is known for their obscene lyrics and their graphic stage performances that consist of humourous political and moral theme plays. They also spray their audiences with fake blood, and while it is composed mostly of water and powdered food colouring and can be washed out easily – I’m still cautious of whether or not I should go to one. Perhaps it’s because of their renowned sci-fi/horror film inspired rubber outfits or simply because I’ve never seen another band perform the way they do. What do I mean exactly? Well, check out some videos of them performing live and you might get the idea. On the other hand, I must say they are definitely unique, and I really do like a bunch of their jams. Maybe that is reason enough for me to see them. What do you think?
